THE WORLD'S FIRST SUSTAINABLE BIO-BASED EAR PLUGS
PIP® understands the importance of reducing waste to lower costs and minimize environmental impact. Our new patented, sustainable BioSoft™ ear plugs are the first to be made from bio-based technologies. The BioSoft™ ear plug foam material provides the same fit and performance as conventional polyurethane or PVC materials, but with a far lower carbon footprint. This innovative technology not only reduces emissions during manufacturing, but it contains bio-based materials
making BioSoft™ more environmentally friendly at end of use.
Biodegradeable - BioSoft™ ear plugs will decompose 76% in 180 days when tested in accordance with EN13432 in an aerobic environment (with air/oxygen present). Traditional PU or PVC ear plugs will remain unchanged.
Carbon Footprint - BioSoft™ ear plugs have a considerably lower Carbon footprint than traditional PU Foam earplugs. When tested per 10,000 pairs, traditional PU foam earplugs produce 44.47kg of CO2e compared with only 7.93kg for BioSoft™ - a reduction of over 82%.
